“During Dr. Val’s last visit back to the States the four churches that support her mission organized to better communicate and serve the financial and spiritual needs of the ministry among the Karamojong in Uganda. This CAT (CLIDE Advisory Team) group has become a very effective tool in this ministry. After the first peacemaker mission trip with Ken Wright and several men from Rolling Hills, I contacted Peacemaker Ministries sharing how we had used their book for much of our teaching. This led to Dr. Val meeting with Ken Sande, author of the Peacemaker book, the result of which Ken Sande arranged for a trip to witness firsthand how the peacemaker principles are being used and visit several of the new peace villages. Between Feb 1st and Feb 16th Mike Hildenbrand from Sunset Presbyterian Church in Beaverton and I will be accompanying Ken Sande and Chip Zimmer, VP for Peacemaker Ministries, on this trip. While there, we will be working with the local pastors and reinforcing the principles of peacemaking as prescribed in the Bible. These are the same principles presented by Peacemaker Ministries at Good Shepherd this past fall. Ken and Chip will also be looking at the possibilities of later filming a documentary about what is going on.

**PRAY for the four of us that the Holy Spirit will work in and through us in this trip.
**PRAY that each of us will be an ambassador for Christ with each person that we meet along our way.
**PRAY, as we work with local pastors that they will be reassured of our love for them and support of their very difficult work.
**PRAY that Val’s team, -CLIDE-, will also be encouraged knowing that there is unity among the churches in the states.
**PRAY for our safety as we travel and continue God’s work of bringing Life and Light to an area still darkened by unbelief.
**PRAY that we will come back with a deeper understanding of how the CAT churches can most effectively support the ministry among the Karamojong in a way that glorifies God.
